Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) has excellent eating, shopping and disabled facilities within its one main terminal building and two concourse areas (Concourse B and Concourse C), as you would expect from such a busy and important American airport.
The terminal building serves approximately three million passenger each year, with many different airlines and around 160 daily arrivals and departures, traveling from this part of Alabama to a large number of different destinations throughout America.

Birmingham Airport information desks are situated on the ground level of the airport main terminal building, close to the baggage reclaim area. The information desks provide a large amount of local and onsite information, including paging lost and found services, travel to destinations all across Alabama, directions, maps, fight arrivals and departures times, and general tourist info relating to the state.
Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets
Birmingham Airport has good shopping facilities located throughout the concourse areas. Shops include newsagents, gift shops selling tourist souvenirs and several food shops.
Bars, Cafés and Restaurants
There are numerous places to eat at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM), including a good selection of airport cafés, restaurants and fast-food outlets. These include Pizza Hut, Charley's Steakery, McDonald's a cookie shop and a snack bar, situated between the airport's Concourse B and Concourse C. There are also a number of vending machines situated throughout the airport.

At this time, BHM is not equipped to provide foreign currency exchange. Banking facilities are available and there are numerous ATM cash points located throughout the airport. Other facilities include coin-operated and credit card pay public telephones.

Business and conference facilities are available at Shuttlesworth International and there are a wide range of services provided onsite, such as several computer work stations with data ports, a courier service, photocopying, secretarial services and work areas.
Disabled Facilities

Other Facilities
Birmingham-Shuttlesworth has numerous luggage trolleys available at curbside, on the upper level and close to the terminal entrances on the ground level. Medical assistance is also available, if required.
